
The Quantum Hi-Tech Dreams Of A Rapping African Education Minister
Sierra Leone’s most recent minister of education,David Moinina Sengeh, is a high achieving innovator and plans to make changes to education that will break boundaries.Minister Sengeh is a PH.D graduate from MIT who has worked on improving the technology used in prosthetics ,which has landed him his own TEDTALK special. Now as an education minister he wants to use technology to help students and teachers have better resources to help with some of the basic needs that are not being met. For example giving teachers tablets to help them keep track of grades and free dictionaries available for students on text messages.Minister Sengeh states that when it comes to taking Sierra Leone from one of the poor countries in west africa to a middle income nation “That’s not going to happen by taking small steps”.
